Editor’s Note of Kovalam Beach, Kovalam

The beach gaining importance world wide is segregated into three crescent beeches separated by rocky outcroppings. The southern one is called the Light House, the middle one is Hawah and the northern beach is called Samudra. The sands on the beaches in Kovalam are partially black in colour, the other thing that recognizes the Kovalam beach are grove of coconut trees, that is an add on for the beach. Kovalam is a natural bay ideal for kayaking, swimming, surfing and skiing. One can swim in the shallow blue water and have a sunbath in the exotic tropical sun or can experience the rejuvenating ayurvedic massage. Kovalam is counted amongst the prominent tourists spots in India since hippy era.
