They say ‘Come to Malaysia – Jao to Jano’ (visit it to know it). Well, there’s no second thought to it! The ‘truly Asia’ country is very much a mini Asia, a melting pot of different Asian cultures. If a trip to this wonderful destination is on your card, it’s time your happiness will be two fold, because the country known for breathtaking skyscrapers, fun shopping destinations, incredible islands and a million year old rain forest, is also nearing to celebrate its nation-wide, month long food...

Facebook has recently come out with Facebook lite – the toned down version of Facebook. It is aimed at users who don’t enjoy fast internet connections, mainly in countries like India, China and Russia. Show me someone who doesn’t like Italian food and I’ll show you someone who’s missing out on a lot. Although choices about food are massively personal, Italian food shall always remain likable to about 72 percent of the population. Yes, that percentage just blends with this article. Italian cuisine goes all the way back to the 4th century BC! Even though India does not boast of, or is plunged into the complete list of Italian fare, the food served here is still great, whatever there is. ...

For good ol’ beings, food is a common binding factor, a bridge and when ordering the same chow, a chance to exchange smiles and fall in love *note to self* - stop watching so many damn movies. When abroad, this seemingly tiny link is heightened because Indians meet other Indians ordering Indian food at Indian restaurants! Who would have thought eh? We do love to meet one of our own on alien lands. When this meet up is glossed out by the presence of food, it’s sheer bliss. Setting up an Indian...

In India, how close are we to authentic Italian taste? With shelves zealously stocked with everything and anything that says ‘Italian’, are we choosing right? A pasta arrabiata at the neighborhood restaurant, a wine uncorked at home, browsing ingredients for a pizza at a mart – do we have a benchmark? Fret not, there is a solution. So that we soak in all the information about the quality, variety and authenticity of food and wine from Europe, the European Union and Italian Government have organized...

Friday, the 7th was a much awaited date in the May episode of the calendar. Many had circled the date in rambunctious red. And why wouldn’t they? Smirnoff Experience Party was back in town at the Grand, Intercontinental Hotel, New Delhi. That should have been said with an exclamation mark rather than a full stop. The Smirnoff Experience was back! Ah, much better. With an awesome line up of acts, yum bites on the house and of course, Smirnoff, it was a night which easily lingered somewhere between...

Looks like the world wants to occupy a piece of India and this time India doesn’t seem to mind. All over ‘wild’ cuisine restaurants have been springing up. Now wild because our home grown palates, more or less, isn't used to this world fare. Not to make this sound like a cliché but Indians now have awesome and massive choices when it comes to food. Now and more than ever before you can order rum-filled strawberry daiquiris or ‘mille fuille’ of cheese with Bolognese sauce. The list of authentic...

Recently and internationally, March 8th, 2010 was welcomed with a Women’s day tag and India Grill at Hilton Garden Inn celebrated! Women’s day has always been drowned in controversy with many failing to see a valid reason behind the day. To which others say – “comparing to men, it’s always been women who have been discriminated against, her worth not understood, much less seen important. She has been treated as a burden, something which did not deserve a life and infanticide seemed like a great...

Quick question – how many of you know New Delhi is hosting the 2010 World Hockey Cup in February? As in right now. To be precise from February 28 to March 13, 2010 at New Delhi's Dhyan Chand National Stadium. Ah yes, I see…umm…*counts* no hands up!
