Rarely do I come across a word which exudes more bliss and ecstasy than the word ‘shopping.’ Some psychologists have also recognized the healing power of this miracle drug. It mends, repairs and restores the soul and throws out any gloomy monsters inside us. Because shopping is so tempting, it’s so easy to surrender and get carried away. Not anymore though, not with these mighty impressive godly tips.
• Make a list of items you need. This way you’ll have a clear head, a direction and won’t purchase items you don’t need.
• If time is not a constraint, you should check out what the other shops are offering before making a quick purchase at your very first stop.
• If walking, making your way through crowds and noise is not your thing; you might want to try out online shopping. It’s convenient, has secure payment methods plus you get great discounts.
• If a store does not have an item in your size, ask them to check their stock. Failing which, you can ask them to call the other branches and keep those fingers crossed.
• When street shopping always bargain. Offer a flat 50 percent lesser price than asked. Always.
• During a sale, always check the product return policies of a store. Some stores might not refund the total amount of an item bought during a sale.
• Have a budget. Knowing that you can only splurge 1000 rupees on a dress will make you go through racks of dresses quicker.
• It’s always better to shop by yourself. You’ll be distracted far less and more likely to stop where you want to without hearing your friends whine.
• Surprising fact: take the salesperson’s help. You will find what you’re looking for faster with an expert direction.
• Keep a list posted in your wardrobe. Every morning as your dress, note down the things you need. For example a plain white tee to go with my brown pants.
