Sunday Brunches are quite a fun thing to do especially at the onset and the setting days of Delhi Winters. That is when you can actually sit out and enjoy the cool breeze in your hair and the warm sun on your face.

I happened to enjoy one such Sunday Brunch at 24/7 at the Lalit Hotel two weeks back. With a dear friend and few fellow bloggers, it was indeed a fun afternoon that we enjoyed. Happy to add, we got the company of a live Jazz Band (The Drift) at our alfresco seating. Though the music went loud in between cutting across our conversations, it was enjoyable in bits nonetheless.

The fabulous thing about Sunday Brunches is how you can grab absolute indulgent food, wash it down with limitless alcohol and give a pass to all those calorie-concerns! What's more - you get to take your own sweet time to romance with your palate. And what's nice about 24/7 at the Lalit for Sunday Brunches? - Well, you get a very picturesque space if you're choosing to sit out, or very comfortable large spaces at the indoors, you also get a grand variety of options to choose from and you're sure to be spoilt on the Sunday! The service is warm and the atmosphere is very cool. Perfect match.

We reached the Lalit at around 1.15 PM and were greeted by some early birds! I started off with a glass of Champagne - not something I do often on Sundays so it was strange to start off with and fun by the time I finished off two glasses. Soon enough, we all hit different counters to take our picks to start off our Brunch with! Here were the choices - Salads (Live Caesar Salads with Condiments, Warm Salad Bar of Baby Spinach), Cold Cuts (Parma Ham, Salami Milano, Smoked Duck, Mortedella Ham), Salmon Bar (Grava Lux, Smoked Salmon Lollipops on Grissini Stick with Cream Cheese), Sushi & Sashimi Counter (Salmon, Tuna, Snapper, Crab Leg, Scallops, Assorted Vegetables and more), Cheese Counter (3-4 varieties of International Cheese with Walnut, Prunes and Cheese crackers - goes well with a glass of Champagne) and Assortment of Breads (Multigrain, Whole Wheat, Soft Roll, Onion Roll, Olive Bread, Coriander Bread, French Bread and like) - as a part of Valentine's Day celebration, some cute heart-shaped breads were also available. Other things on offer were - Soups, Pizzas, Waffles, Oyster Rockfeller, Bruschetta, Carving, Live Pasta and Risotto, Live Chicken Shawarmas and live eggs counter where you can get your choice of eggs prepared - scrambled, fried, poached with appropriate condiments!

One of the corners offered Indian fare too with a good choice of Curries, Rice, Pulao, Biryani and Indian Breads. Assorted Papads, Mint Chutney, Pickles, Yogurt, Dahi Bhalla, Laccha Onions, Lemon, Green Chilli and Saunth were also available to go with the desi khana. A kebab counter with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian selections and live tawa vegetables were perfect add-ons. For desserts, we could pick from Crepes, Live Chocolate Fountain, Pastries, Selection of sliced fruits and Indian Desserts.

24/7 at the Lalit was also hosting the Bengali Food Festival from February 7 to February 20 and we could also dig into the Bengali Fare during our Sunday Brunch. I gave a miss to the Bengali fare that afternoon but fellow foodies did enjoy digging into some of the authentic offerings at the festival at 24/7.

The Sunday Brunch at the 24/7 at the Lalit costs Rs. 2400 (per person) for adults and Rs. 1500 (per person) for kids below 12 years of age. The Jazz band plays at the Lalit only one Sunday every month and if you're a fan - do check and visit!

Remember to indulge. It's Sunday after all!

S Bar & Restaurant, Greater Kailash - 1, N Block Market Shalom, the very popular bar and lounge at Greater Kailash - I, N Block Market has reinvented itself, and is now called S Bar & Restaurant and is located just couple of meters away from the original location in the same market. The decor of S Bar & Restaurant is reminiscent of Shalom, the same whites and blues that are so Greece-like; serene and spectacular - all at the same time. The exteriors too, are white-washed, and almost transport you to the Santorini island. Three of us first...
