Hyderabad bears a rich and royal history the legacy of which is continued by its owe-inspiring monuments and forts. Among many, the two most prominent attractions which you should not miss are
Charminar and
Golconda Fort. These historically important highlights witness the creative art of ancient constructions.
Charminar (built by Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah) is the icon of Hyderabad which is standing graciously in the heart of the city for over 400 years. The four (char) minars standing at a height of 48.7m above the ground give an exciting view of the city.
Golconda Fort is equally thrilling and gives an opportunity to explore the past (back to 400 years of royal grand and grandeur). Situated on the Western outskirts of the city, the fort houses palaces, factories, water supply system, tombs etc. The nicely built walls and huge gates, winding alleys leave you in wonderland which was envisioned centuries ago and thereafter turned into a reality.
