Summer is back with angry Sun’s roasting rays and increased number of health risks. Instead of being uncomfortable, question-minded and worried, you should keep finding new ways to remain as cool as cucumber. Read on as we take a look at some surefire ways that perfectly beat those annoying heats.
• Avoid black or dark coloured clothes. Wear white or
light coloured clothing that do not absorbs Sun’s heat and increase your body temperature. Also prefer to wear
light shoes.
• Your body requires
plenty of water during summer because you lose essential fluids through sweating. Set a routine, increase the no. of times you drink water and stick to it. This is important to avoid dehydration.
Alcoholic beverages clubbed with non-veg food should be
avoided to ignore any unwelcome health risks.
• Heavy meals can delay your body’s cooling process.
Ignore them and stick to
light foods. Have salads and fruits juices,
preferably at home.
• Go for
summer drinks like Thandai, Lassi and Panha. They are a great way to remain cool. But
don’t drink excessively. Over the edge drinking can
upset your stomach than to do anything good.
• Apart from drinks, you can also rely on other
‘beat the heat’ ice
treats like Misti doi, Kesar badam kulfi, chilled soups etc to
further stay cool.
• Try to use
sunscreen when you are heading out under the Sun and stay
indoors to avoid the Sun’s exposure during the
peak time (10.30 AM to 4.30 PM)
• Strenuous activities should be performed in the early morning or in the evening time. Try the exercises that
don’t overheat the body.
Yoga is a good option to stay relaxed and remain cool. A
dip in the pool is another great thing to do during the summer time.
• If you are bound to work out of any sheltered place, make sure to take
short breaks. If possible, eat
homemade foods as much as you can. It is always better to
avoid the openly available/displayed foods and fruits.
All the above-mentioned points help you beat the heat. But nothing is comparable with
water.
To remain 100% fit this summer, try to increase the intake of water. It is the greatest natural help you can count on.
