Aloha! Ever since, one of us visited Trader's Vic Mai Tai lounge at Orion Mall at Malleshwaram, Bangalore - we've been waiting for it to open outlets in other cities! Yes, it's THAT fab. Guess what, Mumbai gets lucky next week. This California-based lounge has been brought to India by JSM Corp and they're finally opening their first Mumbai outlet at High Street Phoenix next week!
The Polynesian-themed lounge does killer cocktails like the rum-based 1944 Mai Tai and Honi Honi. Must try on...

I always look forward to the food festivals at Crowne Plaza Rohini. They go beyond the food and actually create an ambiance to enjoy the culture and cuisine. My latest visit was for Andaaz Amritsari, the Amritsari food festival ongoing at Spice Art - the Punjabi, North Indian restaurant at Crowne Plaza Rohini.

Sitting pretty on a third floor and terrace on the main road of South Extension is China Doll - the Chinese cuisine restaurant and lounge conceptualised and started by the younger generation of Moti Mahal Deluxe family. You must think China Doll is Chinjabi food and loud interiors; surprisingly, China Doll is authentic and classy.

Yo! China Cafe at the DLF Place Mall, Saket is the younger, funkier cousin of the Yo! China restaurants, with decor that is far more fun and food that is far more serious than the latter. Life Caffe is a very warm bistro located in Connaught Place, the heart of Delhi. Despite being located right in the centre of the busy hub of CP, Life Caffe somehow transports you to a different environ and setting altogether. Last Friday, November 2, saw some great musical action at the Life Caffe, Connaught Place, New Delhi. The cafe hosted its first unplugged live performance night with this insane Indi-Rock band 'Daksh'.
The band members, Kavish Mishra, Vibhor, Shivani, Sid and Niranjan set the right mood with Sufi tracks like 'Sayoni', 'Oh Re Pia' and 'Lal Meri Path'. The evening saw some scintillating unplugged percussion and the Sufi music simply enthralled the crowd.
