I happened to visit Chennai recently to meet family. This one was a quick visit and I knew I wouldn't have much time to savour the food that Chennai has to offer or to visit the popular restaurants in C-Town. I however, decided to definitely visit the Murugan Idli Shop. A case of when in Chennai, do as Chennaities do!
It's always interesting to visit places that come with a long-standing history and become something of a tradition. Be it the old-world feel, or the loyalty they attract, restaurants...

Shalom, the very popular bar and lounge at Greater Kailash - I, N Block Market has reinvented itself, and is now called S Bar & Restaurant and is located just couple of meters away from the original location in the same market. The decor of S Bar & Restaurant is reminiscent of Shalom, the same whites and blues that are so Greece-like; serene and spectacular - all at the same time. The exteriors too, are white-washed, and almost transport you to the Santorini island.

Cooking in France is considered an art and for French people, it's all-important to get a dish perfectly right. That's the reason why French cuisine is one of the best gastronomical experience that you can have. Despite its simplistic and minimalistic characteristic, both in terms of flavour and presentation, French cuisine manages to bewilder taste buds.
After French fashion, French cuisine has slowly and gradually raised its own share of lovers in the capital city. And if you are also a French...

Despite having been to countries where Nando's has massive presence, I have not ever stepped in any of their restaurants. So when Nando's opened up just stone's throwaway distance from my house at DLF Promenade Mall in Vasant Kunj, a visit was imperative. But I hate waiting in a queue to be fed. Take my name and number down, give me a call when a table clears up and I'll be there. But standing in a queue is a big no-no. Hence, for the longest time I couldn't visit Nando's. Every evening I visited...
