Located nearly 8.5 km from the heart of Pune, Hadapsar is an eastern suburb in Pune; it is a market for vegetable and agricultural products, where farmers directly sell their produce. Until 1980, the place was a small village surrounded by farms.

Hadapsar is known for housing Magarpatta city and Fursungi IT Park (SP Infocity). It homes numerous companies such as IBM, TCS, Accenture, Exl, Zs, Aviva, Honeywell and so on. It has a Hadapsar Flying Club, which is a popular destination.

For adventurous souls, Hadasar is a place to visit, as it houses The Gliding Centre. For the purpose of promoting gliding, the Government has subsidized flying operations at GCP. The center also offers training to aspiring pilots. GCP is open to general public on Sundays (excepting national holidays). Flying season at GCP starts post monsoon by October and continues until the arrival of the next monsoon by May or early June.

Another adventure sport which awaits you here is para-gliding. For enjoying the same visit Kanifnath, which is located in the vicinity. Other tourist’s destinations located close-by are Theur, Kanifnath Temple and Mastani Talav (lake). Powered paragliding is another great option. Paramotoring from here to the flying club in Hadapsar is an abosolutely wonderful experience.

Educational institutes present here are Sadhana Vidhyalaya, Bunter School, and S.M. Joshi College etc. There are quite a good number of hospitals providing health services to the residents; these are Noble Hospital, Sahyadri Hospital, Ushakiran Hospital, Dhanvantari Hospital, Mohite Hospital etc. Hungry souls can head for restaurants like Nishu’s, Deccan Harvest, Dominoes Pizza, Bashree and Krishnachaya.

Pune Lohegaon Airport and Pune Junction Railway Station are the nearest to it. Hadapsar is well connected to the other parts of the city by PMPML buses. There is a heavy traffic on roads during peak hours; a flyover is under construction at the Magarpatta junction to ease the same.
