Home to over 100,000 residents, Vasant Kunj in the in South West of Delhi is an upscale neighbourhood with both residential colonies and market complexes. The area has been divided into four sectors namely A, B, C and D. Now, each of these sectors has different pockets like 1, 2, 3,4,5,6, and 7etc. The construction of Vasant Kunj was started by Delhi Development Authority in the last part of 1980s.  First, sector A was developed followed by others.

The adjacent Masoodpur village is regarded to be Vasant Kunj’s prime commercial zone. Several world class malls are being constructed here, which include Airtel, ONGC, Ambience, DLF Emporio Mall etc. These malls are expected to be the most expensive malls of India.

Vasant Kunj also homes some of the well known schools of the capital. They include Ryan Public School, G.D Goenka, DPS etc., to name but a few. The residents here take advantage of Fortis Hospital, Apollo Clinic, Indian Spinal Injuries Centre for health purposes. This is also where India’s first Community Yellow Page called ‘Vasant Kunj Informer & Shopper’ was introduced.

The area is calmly located and can be reached from all parts of the capital. The area is well-connected with ISBT Kashmere Gate (25 kms), Domestic Airport (9Kms), and New Delhi Railway Station (23 kms).
