Sattvik, which in Sanskrit language means anything that is pure, positive and beneficial, is also a restaurant at the Select Citywalk Mall that serves pure vegetarian food. Their philosophy is to offer holistic fine dining. Even if you're a pure non-vegetarian so-to-say and you're one of those who absolutely avoid spending on vegetarian fare, this restaurant is a try, at least once! The spices are low and so are the oils, the presentation is very simple, food is light to eat and feels almost home cooked. Their menu is lavish and for a vegetarian it seems like a blessing because you never tend to find such options at any place else. Invariably, there is no alcohol but they have very interesting mocktails like the Mantra and Nirvana that are served very fancily in terms of taste and presentation. In snacks, you will find a variety of options like Bhuttae ke Kebab, Till Wale Khatte Tandoori Aloo, Paneer Aflatoon, Amritsari Seekh, Dhokla aur Khandvi ki Chaat and even many low-fat options like Jhaal Moori. Agnihotra-e-Sattvik is a low-fat platter of assorted snacks served with chutneys that is a good pick if you're too confused about what to order. The chef speciality is Mehroon Beet ki Sikki Seekh who has brought the humble benefits of beet for bringing your blood pressure down in culinary delights. Vegan Dragon Rolls are a different version of spring rolls that you could try here. Soups and Salads are available in plenty too and reasonably priced between Rs. 95 to Rs. 150. In the main course, you will find a huge variety of Paneer dishes, Mushrooms, Palak, Baby Corn, Dahi ke Subz, Bhindi, Kathal, Mix Vegetables, Kofta, Aloo Subzi, Chana and Dal. Enjoy these with your choice of Nan, Paranthas, Tandoori Rotis/Kulchas or Missi Roti. Mixed vegetable Pilaf and plain Basmati Rice are also available if you want to avoid the breads. Pair these up with the Curd or Raita and you should be good to go. There are also desserts that you could try here like the Tropical Mango Yogurt, Kesaria Phirnee with Chandi ka work, Sugar Roached Jamun served with Raspberry Sauce and more. The chef and servers here are open to serving your food with onion and garlic, as Sattvik food is suppose to be. The average price for dining here would be around Rs. 750 for two persons. On weekends and especially during evening hours, make sure you're ready to wait before you get seated.
