A landmark library located at Mehrauli near Qutub Minar, National Science Library was founded as a result of the decision taken by CSIR in June 1963 with the aim to function as a resource center for all kinds of scientific and technical publications. Sprawled across an area of 3.5 acres of land, this four-storey, centrally air-conditioned library is the place where you can expect to find the city's intellectual crowd. Housing over 2,40,000 printed collection of various documents that include monographs, journals, reports, dissertations, standards and patents, this is by far one of the best venues where you can get all the best possible references. Foreign language dictionaries and books on medicinal and aromatic plants, foreign periodicals etc., also feature in the huge collection that has been stocked here. This library can be visited six days a week from Monday to Saturday and the timings being 8 AM to 7 PM.
