Editor’s Note of Yamuna Sports Complex, Surajmal Vihar

Inaugurated in 1999, Yamuna Sports Complex has spread across 27.5 hectares of land at Surajmal Vihar. Centre for Commonwealth Games' Table Tennis and Archery competition, the sports complex also provides training for Table Tennis, Archery, Swimming, Lawn Bowls and Rhythmic Gymnastics. Governed and supervised by D.D.A , the sports complex also provides games facilities and recreational arenas like synthetic courts, tennis practice wall, badminton hall, glass back wall squash court, basket ball court, cricket ground, cricket practice pitches, skating ring, chess room, squash space, billiards halls along with Olympic size Swimming Pool and Toddlers Pool for swimmers. For fitness freaks, well equipped fitness centre, ladies gym and joggers park are worth going. Climbers can also avail the benefit of Artificial Climbing Wall for practicing while children can enjoy at the Children Park. In addition to above, Yamuna Sports Complex is also equipped with many agencies and trainers for providing coaching and training for the above said games.
