Editor’s Note of Mughal Gardens, Rajpath

Mughal Gardens are one of the most popular gardens in Delhi and act as a major tourist attraction. Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Lady Harding, the gardens are situated at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The Mughal Gardens are a wonderful amalgamation of Mughal architecture and British style of design. They are spread over an area of 13 acres and have been beautifully divided into three different sections - rectangular, circular and long gardens. They also have splendid fountains at various intersections. For nature lovers and those who love to see different varieties of flowers, the Mughal Gardens serve as a perfect spot. One can spot some very delicate and beautiful variety of trees and flowers including roses, bougainvillea, viscaria and more.
