Shabri is a gripping underworld drama, made around a thoughtful topic: The rise and fall of a female protagonist when she transforms from a mere common slum dweller to a hard hitter gangster. Ishaa Koppikar plays the lead role, who lives a seemingly troubled life because of the inescapable situations that life throws to her. Post a series of unfortunate events, she chooses the wrong path and takes the gun to oppose everything that is odd. The film scores for its fast paced narrative, appealing performances by almost all the actors and a clever direction. The crime world and an odd lady’s venture into to the unforeseen world have been cleverly projected with details. This one is certainly a welcome watch for all looking for a break from the dull films.
