It is that time of the year when love is not just in the air but everywhere. Cupids are super active (and busy) in the month of February, especially during the Valentine's week. Starting from February 7 till February14, Valentine's week brings in new opportunities to inspire an affair, start a new relationship and strengthen the bond you share with the one you love.
Each day of the Valentine's week is dedicated to something that embodies love, fun and romance. If a good number of people's conception about which event is on which date is to be believed, the format goes something like this:
February 7 | Rose Day
Be it a single red rose or a huge bouquet, roses never go out of fashion. Rose Day marks the beginning of the love-filled week and there's nothing better than expressing your love with a rose. Those who are miles away from each other can send each other rose-full texts, greeting cards, e-cards or wallpapers. Though, no amount of virtuality can replace a real rose.
February 8 | Propose Day
The time is today. In fact, it is now or after a year. Remember this wise note and unburden your heart without thinking the consequences by expressing everything that is troubling you romantically. Who knows, he/she might accept your proposal readily. After all, this is the day when 'Yes' takes over 'No'.
February 9 | Chocolate Day
For those who often forget the Garden of Roses and feel blue for not expressing themselves on Propose Day, Chocolate is for help. There is nothing that can go wrong with Chocolates. After all, chocolate is the perfect food and the best way to bring a smile to your love's face.
February 10 | Teddy Day
If a Bear is sometimes wild, a Teddy is always tame. It is perhaps one of the nicest and cutest ways to convey your heartfelt thoughts. So nice that its smile and innocence in together can best express your present state of mind for your sweetheart. If a Teddy Bazaar is far from your reach, e-cards full of cuddly teddies could be the solution.
February 11 | Promise Day
You met by chance, you became friends for destiny and you are together for faith. Now, it's time you promise to be with each other for rest of your lives. Pen down a poem or scribble your promise on a cute little card or simply say it while looking deep into your beloved's eyes. Make an unaltered, meaningful and sure-to-keep promise. Because forgetting the occasion is better than making an ordinary promise meant to be broken one day. This can harm the relationship in many ways.
February 12 | Kiss Day
A day everyone looks forward to. It's the day to be silent and let your lips do all the talking in a soulful manner. It also stands for keep it short which simply means don't jump in any surprise action when the other one is not at all prepared. This rule applies to especially those who are just in the beginning of their relationship.
February 13 | Hug Day
Hug for a cry, hug for a smile or simply hug because you never hugged before. Whatever your situation is, this day of the month has hundreds of reasons to welcome a jadu ki jhappi. This is a pleasant day full of spirited love and joy, contrary to those who held number 13 as unlucky. And while you're at it, whisper those three magical words to your sweetheart.
February 14 | Valentine's Day
The auspicious and most remarkable day when the whole of February 7 to 13 turns into one big event. Saint Valentine's Day. It's the day when you can express to your special someone how you love and care for them. Get everything flowers, teddies, chocolates, letters etc and pour your heart out. This day also marks the end of the Valentine's week, and what could be better than planning a candle-lit dinner at a romantic restaurant for your love. Trust us, it's a sure shot winner.
While some are at their romantic best, there are also few who just can't stand all the mushiness that circles around the month of February. But the Valentine's week is not meant for just those who are romantically involved with each other. You can celebrate this week with anybody you love or care for, be it your parents, siblings or friends. So go out there and show some love!
