George Town is located on the Eastern Coastal Plains of Chennai city. One of the leading commercial centers in the city, the region lies on the eastern edge of the city and at an equi distance from the northernmost and southernmost outskirts. Chennai Airport is the nearest airport for George Town and is some 16 km away.
