Editor’s Note of Open Hand Emblem, Sector - 1

Designed and Constructed by Le Corbusier, Open Hand Monument is one of the moor attractions at the Capitol complex situated in Sector 1, Chandigarh. Standing high with 85 feet of height , the eminent monument communicate the significance of Peace amongst the masses. Humanity and peace are the true virtues of living a tranquil life that is what the Emblem of Chandigarh believes it and celebrates it amongst the whole humanity. The monument is simply a giant open metal hand which signifies that everyone in this world is “Open to give, Open to receive”. Colored with colors of our National Flag, the Open Hand Monument signifies patriotism with the chaste message of peace.
