Editor’s Note of Cubbon Park, Mahatma Gandhi Road

Located at M.G. Road, Bangalore, Cubbon Park is a beautiful park which bears a history of over 100 years. Its design was conceived by Richard Sankey, the then chief engineer of the state. This picturesque park has a wonderful collection of statues spread throughout its whole stretch of 250 acres that further adds to its opulence. Near to numerous major attractions, the park also houses a public library named Sheshadri Iyer Memorial Hall. The building of this library has been painted in red and was built in Neo-Classical style. Other highlights include rose garden, children's playground with toy train, doll museum, aquarium etc. It remains open daily except on Mondays from 7 AM to 9 PM.
